We believe Beer is Culture. That’s bold, sure, but hear us out.
Societies as we know them formed some 10,000 years ago, as agriculture replaced hunting and gathering. The creation of crude fermented beverages from grain, many historians argue, was one key reason for the abandonment of the nomadic lifestyle. So without beer we’d still be chasing the herds…
Beer is a living thing, comprised of live cultures of microorganisms that create its many unique flavors. These living beers have long been downed at pubs, the classic meeting place outside the home — a nexus for anything from politics to music to arts.
These living beers have served as a force for bringing people together around the world, whether it’s a casual Monday hang, late-night professional gathering, or engine to power a social mission. Surely it’s not too bold to say that your mind can be stimulated by the right beverage, at the right time, is it?

"Hanging in the park, waiting for that moment to be inspired. Letting the inspiration take hold. Kicking back after a long day at the studio. Beer and music can be harmonious. Sixpoint is there for those moments. This is why we believe beer is culture."
Overcoats is New York-based indie-pop duo Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell. Their debut album YOUNG (2017) was one of the top 5 best-selling albums by any debut independent artist released that year. Their second album The Fight (2020), which has earned them a 2021 Libera A2IM Breakthrough Artist nomination, found strength in total brokenness and confident composure alike, with their bright harmonies, pummeling guitars and empowering lyrics leading the way. The album served as a rallying cry and a prescient document for persevering through an exceedingly difficult year. The title of their new EP, Used To Be Scared Of The Dark (out June 4), is telling. While The Fight was deep in the trenches, this EP revels in resolutions and the resulting self-growth. It’s about honoring the past uphill battles and acknowledging current feelings, but searching for stability. It’s a heartwarming exhale and an acceptance of the unknown. Overcoats have received acclaim from The New York Times, NPR, FADER, Billboard and more.
Sixpoint Designer, Jack Liakas, uses the liquid so close to him (Resin IPA) for inspiration in all his designs. Beer imitating art imitating life.
