NYC Craft Beer Week

New York City Craft Beer Week begins Friday, February 22nd— a week dedicated to New York’s finest beverage. It’s full of tastings, hang outs, good food and the best beer the city has to offer. The kickoff event, with samples, food and live music, is at Galapagos Art Space. There will be Sixpoint tap takeovers throughout the week, and they’re a great chance to try some of the more difficult to find offerings or to go through a flight of the classics. The Growler in Manhattan is all Sixpoint all the time during beer week, with eight Sixpoint taps every day.

NYC Craft Beer WeekAll the events have great brews, but Beer Week is also a great chance to meet and hang out with the Sixpoint team. Check out Brewer’s Choice, where you’ll get special offerings presented by the brewers themselves, alongside a food pairing of chocolate, cheese or charcuterie. Pete Dickson, Head Brewer at Sixpoint, will be there with some good eats and a bunch of Sixpoint offerings, and to answer any questions you may have.

Cheers - NYC Craft Beer WeekWomen’s Night, a gathering of female brewers, sales reps and members from all departments, offers a similar opportunity. Three Sixpoint ladies will be in attendance: Representative Kristen Ridenour, Brewer Heather McReynolds and Sixpoint GM Meg McIntyre. Look out for other Sixpointers filtering in and out of events throughout the week.

NYC Craft Beer WeekThe Ataraxia Winter Warmer, Sixpoint’s new, draft-only release, will be on tap at The Modern, in addition to six other Sixpoint offerings, suggested food pairings and complimentary Alsatian flatbreads.

The Aporkalypse, at the Alewife, is an epic event—specialty chefs, ten carved hogs, and beer from more than twenty breweries to wash it down. To close out the week there are brunches at Beer Authority and Eataly, with Sixpoint pints for 5$.

  • Oh, What a Teeling! Fort Defiance Goes Bang! Bang!

The Teeling/Sixpoint Bang Bang Dudley tour rolls on as we visit our neighbors at Fort Defiance in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Mixologist extraordinaire St. John Frizell has concocted a special Teeling Whiskey cocktail just for this evening.

We worked with Teeling Whiskey to create the Bang Bang Dudley Ale, using their distinctive Irish Whiskey barrels that once housed bourbon and rum before making their way to Dublin. With the unique character of barrels from the only operating distillery in Dublin, and Irish stylistic origins, you can think of this beer as an "Irish-style Barleywine" created in the heart of BKLYN.

$10 gets you a Bang Bang Dudley beer and a shot of Teeling Whiskey or a 3-ounce shot of beer and a Teeling Whiskey cocktail.

Peeps from both companies will be doing their thing so come on out!
