Little Raspy is a little sensitive. People don’t know him all that well yet, he’s low ABV, and got a soft, white, fluffy cap. On top of that, the TONS of raspberries he’s brewed with (294 lbs per batch!) make him pour up bright pink.
A new series is cropping up here at Sixpoint. In the first ever state-centric series release, these offering have a narrow focus, but a really wide appeal from across the interconnected underground network of fans of creatively homegrown Mad Science.
The elusive Double Sweet Action hasn’t been around in any serious quantities for years now. Sure some wily bartenders stowed some kegs away here and there, but we knew it was getting time to bring this bad ass ale back. We first brewed Double Sweet for the five-year anniversary party in 2010, and now on the heels of our 11th anniversary we dug out the old recipe (and made some key recipe tweaks). It clocks in at 9% ABV and has the balance that’s at the heart of the Sweet Action concept. While the ABV pushes barleywine territory, this beer leans on English Maris Otter barley rather than caramel malts. So it’s rich, but finishes clean and without much residual sweetness.

But there is something mystical… something alluring about a beautiful pint. A golden body topped by rocky, bone-white foam. Or a black brew with a deep tan topper. A cloudy hefeweizen crowned with a big bowl of frothy foam, or a crystal-clear pils with a tight white head. More »
Diesel is one of the original Sixpoint recipes, a black-as-night stout with piney bursts of American hop character battling through roast and malt. We’ve revived this brew in time for winter, draft-only for now. More »
Irish Hello is our latest beer brewed in collaboration with homebrewers as part of our Homebrew Alley series. Tom Jambor’s stout was a standout brew at the fest this year — piercingly roasty, creamy, and extra-dry. In a homebrew contest highlighted by Imperial and mixed fermentation brews, Tom’s brew resonated with our team due to a certain clarity of flavor. More »
